An Update Of What happened The Past Few Days

I haven't blog quite a number of days because of prelims, have to really sit down and study for the subjects. For the past few days, it is the most stressful period of time.

Yesterday was the most horrible day of my life. Of course, it has to do with my prelim exam. Yesterday the subjects tested were Chemistry and Maths...morning paper is chem and afternoon paper is Maths.

During the Chemistry Paper 1 and 2 exam, my mind was really blank, totally cannot recalled what I have just memorized. The most irritating thing that during the papers the invigilator will pick up the mic to correct some mistakes on the question paper or ask the students to stop writing. The mic was so loud that the rest of the students who was still taking the exam cannot even focussed.

After the chemistry exam, I still have around 2 hours to study before the afternoon Maths paper. So, my friends and I studied at the canteen, trying very hard to memorize the formula for vectors, binomial and blah blah blah

But once Math exam starts, I flipped through the question paper and there is only one thing to describe my feeling at that time... ... horrified. Totally horrified by the question paper. I forget how to do those questions.

I can only conclude one thing for that day...I screwed up my chem and math exams.

The day before chem and maths papers, I actually spent time revising maths first and after that them go on to chem. But some how after revising maths, my brain is totally drained out by those maths questions. I was really feeling too tired to really revise my chemistry notes again. So I just flipped and memorize the definitions for chemical energetics and electrochemistry.

For the biology paper that I have taken on Tuesday, it was really shocking. Before the taking the paper, I actually mentally prepared myself. at that point of time, I was thinking the paper may be even more difficult and more challenging than the block test paper. When I looked this biology paper 2, most of them came from our tutorials and quiz. This means that if we failed like block test, the teachers do not need to come after us, we can just bang the wall ourselves.

For economics paper that I have taken on Monday, I have nothing to say because I not too sure whether I have written sufficiently. Oh...I thing I suddenly remember...I forgot to use one data to support my view. But anyway, I dun want to think about it anymore.

Let talk about other things. Recently I found some TVXQ songs. These songs are from the O Jung Ban Hub Concert Album. Some songs that I have found: My Page (Xiah), Crying (Hero), When I First Kissed You (Changmin) and One Last Cry (Micky). They are very nice and this is the first time hearing other genre. So very new.

Anyway, I will juz stop here. Got other things to do. Next week still hot two more papers to go.

Pirates Of The Caribbean

Last month (I think after the College Day), I went to watch Pirates Of The Caribbean 3 with some friends. The movie, as usual, very funny. And...Captain Jack Sparrow always enter the scene in a very interesting way. The story went in a fast speed mode and in order to try to catch every single detail, you need to watch Pirates Of The Caribbean 1 and 2.

At first, I don't really quite understand the story and especially the entering of Captain Babossa into the scene. This is because I didn't watch Pirates Of the Caribbean 2 in the first place. But later I catch what the movie is saying (after pestering my sister about the details for Pirates Of The Caribbean 2 and manage to borrow the VCDs from my sister's friend).

Some of the scenes in the Pirates Of The Caribbean 3 that I like is when many many many crabs help Jack Sparrow to move his Black Pearl to the shores and the scene where the crew on the Black Pearl trying to tilt the ship.

Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann got married in this movie, with Captain Babossa as the witness. This scene leaves me a a deep impression because...they gotten married while still fighting with the enemies. But in the end, Will Turner was dead, killed by Davis Jones.

As for the Pirates Of The Caribbean 2, after I watch the VCDs, I can linked up the story. In Pirates Of The Caribbean 2, Davis Jones going after ack Sparrow to pay his debt which was to work on Flying Dutchman for 100 years. In the means to avoid Davis Jones and his crew, Jack Sparrow went to an island whereby there are a lot man-eating people. The people treat Jack Sparrow like a god and wanted to cook and eat him up. That where the funny part comes...

Anyway, school is starting two days later. Some more, prelims are coming in two days time. I got very panic. Have to go and to do last minute preparation. *Sighs* First paper-Economics. Stresssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

Internet is back!!!

Phew...finally i am able to assess to internet at home and finally can blog.

These past few weeks i got very bored, no internet means no blogging, no youtube and no multiply. It is a tragedy... ...

But now, I don't really have much time do these stuffs anymore. Prelims are coming in less than one week. There are still a lot of stuff to revise...really very stress.

Recently, Lovin's You album is out already!!!

Shrek 2

Just now, I was watching Shrek 2 on Channel 5. The story continues from after Shrek and Fiona gotten married. Shrek 2 talks about what happens when Shrek and Fiona returned back to Kingdom of Far Far away because the King and Queen wanted to them to come Fiona to bring her husband back. When the King realised that Fiona's husband was an orge, he tried to break them apart, hiring assassin to kill Shrek... ...

The storyline is always very interesting...always goes against the typical fairy tales storyline. The last part of the story gives me an deep impression whereby the King himself is a frog and in the end he accepted Shrek as his son-in-law. The donkey and Puss in Boots sang my favourite song - Livin' in La Vida Loca.

Trip To Science Centre

Our school has actually arrange some enrichment programmes for the biology students. Half of our class went for today's PCR and the other half went for tomorrow's RE. By the way, PCR stands for Polymerase Chain Reaction and RE stands for Restriction Enzymes.

We all have to travel to Jurong East to attend this lesson and at first everyone was really reluctant to come for it but since they paid for it and our biology teachers are there to take attendance, no one dares to skip it.

This PCR lesson is actually quite interesting. Usually, in school, we only know the theory of PCR. But this time round, we get to do some hands-on, which really helps in one way or another. PCR can really take up a lot of your time because the gene of interest that was found in a piece of DNA requires time to amplify before we can do testing. So, we actually have around one and a half hours for lunch and we spent some time exploring the Science Centre and also the exhibit that is located near the MacDonald.

After lunch, we came back to Science Centre and visited the Curiosity, The Science Centre Shop. We behave like little kids, exploring those items on the shelves. Honestly speaking, I actually having fun playing with those items.

Finally, we went back to the lab and continue our final experiment, which is to test our PCR products. While waiting for the results, we watch some video clips on genetic diseases, evolution and DNA fingerprinting. The video clip on genetic diseases is actually very sad. It is about a child who had Tay-Sach which is a genetic disorder. He died quite young, at the age of two years old, a few months before his birthday. Usually, children with Tay-Sach died at a younger age of about five years old. Sad to said, there is no cure for this disease.

After waiting for forty-five minutes, we finally got the results which was not very clear. Although results was nit that clear, I still learn something at the end of the day.
