Working At Singapore Expo

Yesterday, I went to work at Singapore Expo, helping to serve and top up drinks for the guests. The event was actually about the 9oth anniversary of a particular temple or something. There is a total of around 1000 plus tables, occupying Hall 1 & 2 of Singapore Expo. They got policemen to standby at the entrance. Before we could really enter the halls, we need to pass through the gates to check for any weapons or something. Bags are also checked.

That day was really very busy and tired because the place where we need to collect the dishes and served it to our guests was rather very far. Some more, we need walked more than 10 times if you know that for Chinese Restaurant, there are usually 8 to 10 courses. We also need to walk around the table and refilled the glasses.

Some of the performances was rather okay. The very last performance they had prepared was actually kungfu performance by people from China. Their costumes are more of Wudang Sect. I thought so because I saw that kind of costume on TV also. The performance was very exciting, everyone was focusing on the stage instead of their food. Most of their food was untouched and it was really a pity that there are so many leftovers which will be thrown away. So...one of the guests from the table that I was supposed to look after came and asked me whether she takeaway some of the dishes.

By the time we finished clearing the bowls and plates and so on, it was around 11pm. Luckily one of the captains booked two coaches so we do not need to rush for the respective trains and buses. Too bad, this time round we don't have ang bao.
